The Counter Custom Built Burgers will open its first New York City outpost in the heart of Times Square on Dec. 20, 2010. This will be chain’s 26th location in the United States.
In addition to its traditional menu, The Counter in New York City will offer a selection of ice cream shakes, malts and floats, as well as a full bar with spiked adult shakes and a diverse selection of handcrafted beer and wine.
The restaurant features 1,936 square feet of space for guests and is the first restaurant in New York City to have a 66-foot wrap-around, high resolution, four-color LED ticker. The ticker will feature a constantly moving row of burger photos and other graphics. Artwork on the walls also will capture the uniqueness of New York City life and culture by showcasing photography by Gary Copeland. All artwork displayed at the restaurant will be available for sale.
