The Counter signs new Houston area developer

The Counter has signed a Houston area development agreement with NextGen Ventures LLC principals Malik, Shahnaz and Aisha Waliany, to develop five locations in that area.
The first location will be located in the Heights community in Houston, with a scheduled opening date of mid-August 2010.
The Waliany's have more than 25 years of experience as multiunit operators and developers in Houston. They have previously operated Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen restaurant locations and currently operate several Arby's in Houston.
With 24 locations and growing, The Counter's unique checklist menu offers more than 312,210 possible combinations. The company also recently opened franchise locations in Hollywood and Carlsbad, Calif., and a location in Torrance, Calif., is scheduled to open late June 2010.
