The Chickery, a Toronto-based fast casual chicken restaurant with a new location opening in December in Washington, D.C., has hired Teddy Ferguson as the restaurant's GM.

The Chickery, a Toront fast casual chicken restaurant with a new location opening in December in Washington, D.C., has hired Teddy Ferguson as the restaurant's GM, according to a company press release.

Ferguson comes equipped with over 20 years of restaurant experience with brands including Chipotle, Austin Grills, and most recently Corner Bakery Café, said Chef David Adjey, The Chickery founder and chef.

Ferguson's role will include team leadership, as well as boosting the management staff's performance, as well as employee training, oversight and coaching.

"This opening marks a major milestone for us, and we are intent on making sure the restaurant is in the best of hands," Adjey said. "Having someone with Teddy's depth of knowledge and experience open the D.C. store will pave the way for smoother, easier future openings for us in the D.C. area, as well as the rest of the U.S."
