The Catering Institute to hold October workshop

The Catering Institute's Catering Sales Management Workshop will bring together restaurant catering leaders.

The Catering Institute announced it will hold its Catering Sales Management Workshop on Oct. 13 at The Omni Park West Hotel in Dallas. The workshop will bring together restaurant catering leaders looking to a build a better sales culture inside their organizations, according to a company press release. The workshop will address cold calling techniques, lead generation and prospecting and consultative selling, among other topics.

"At The Catering Institute we help the restaurant community tackle all aspects of their off-premise business yet there is one question we receive multiple times a day: 'How do we grow our catering sales," said The Catering Institute Vice President Tracy Avolio. "We feel very fortunate that this workshop will help restaurateurs excel at growing their catering sales. We strongly believe that a culture of education, training and ongoing learning provides real, long-lasting growth results."

To date, catering leaders from brands such as Firehouse Subs, Qdoba, Bruegger's, La Madeleine and On the Border have signed up to attend the event, among others, the release stated. The event also is sponsored by PepsiCo, Punchh, Voice Teleservices and The Texas Restaurant Association.

During the course of the day-long workshop, attendees will:

• Learn sales tactics, techniques and methodology.
• Network with colleagues and leaders from different brands, share ideas, find a mentor and enjoy a sense of community.
• Create greater opportunities for catering sales teams.
