The Captain's Boil expands into US

Canada-based The Captain's Boil made its U.S. debut in January, implementing a point-of-sale system, kitchen display and gift card, loyalty and inventory control systems as well as an online ordering app from Givex Information Technology Group Ltd., a customer engagement solutions provider based in Toronto.

The U.S. restaurant, located at 2680 Cumberland Mall in Atlanta, is the first of four planned for the region, according to a company press release.

"For more than five years, GivexPOS and other Givex technologies have helped improve our operations, from the kitchen display system ensuring that our food is served hot, to the robust inventory/recipe application helping control our food costs," Andy Huang, chief operating officer of The Captain's Boil, said in the release. "Their system seamlessly integrated with a third-party app to help manage our labour costs, and we're very pleased with the preliminary results of the loyalty program we recently implemented with Givex."

The Captain's Boil has over 20 locations in Canada.
