Tender Greens opens fourth California location
December 14, 2009
Tender Greens will open its fourth location in the heart of Hollywood, Calif., in January 2010. The new location will feature a private 1,200-square-foot patio along with the same affordable garden-to-table cuisine that customers have come to enjoy.
Like Tender Greens' locations in Culver City, West Hollywood and San Diego, the Hollywood restaurant will boast an eco-friendly design consisting of reclaimed and recycled materials. At 3,900-square-feet, with seating for 120, this will be the largest Tender Greens location. The space features acid-stained sealed concrete floors, skylights and original artwork. All wood surfaces in the restaurant are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and/or LEED. Other environmentally sensitive features include a Halton Exhaust system; known as a "green hood," it filters small pollutants and smoke from cooking fumes. Tender Greens also partnered with Equity Thru Energy (ETE), an energy management system that remotely shuts down the restaurant's water heater when not in use.
Additionally, Tender Greens has installed an Ever Pure water filtering system and plans to do away with all bottled water and soft drinks by the end of 2010.
The menu also will feature fan favorites including salads such as the Chipotle Barbecue Chicken and the Grilled Flatiron Steak. There also are soups, like Roasted Roma Tomato Bread Soup with Basil and Rustic Chicken Soup with Lemon Thyme.
