Vandelay Companies has acquired Ten Ramen, a staple of the Dallas dining scene for a decade, and announced plans to expand the brand to the West Village neighborhood next spring.
The hospitality group, led by CEO Hunter Pond, said the second Ten Ramen location will open in spring 2026 at 3699 McKinney Ave. The space, formerly occupied by Cru Wine Bar, spans approximately 1,480 square feet.
Ten Ramen was founded in March 2015 by Chef Teiichi Sakurai at the Sylvan | Thirty development in West Dallas. Known for its compact, 10-seat footprint and standing-room aesthetic, the restaurant developed a dedicated following for its authentic Japanese recipes.
While the original location is famous for its limited capacity, the West Village venue aims to offer a slightly more accessible experience. The design includes a full-service bar with seven seats and an intimate dining room that accommodates 28 guests.
Pond said the acquisition stems from his long-standing respect for Sakurai's culinary work. This deal follows Vandelay's recent addition of another Sakurai concept, Tei An, to its portfolio.
Despite the change in ownership and expansion, Vandelay Companies confirmed that the culinary operations will remain untouched.
"We haven't touched the recipes, they're perfect just as they are," Pond said in a company press release. "After many months under our ownership already, it remains clear that the magic is in the food, the service, and the experience."
The menu at the seocnd location will feature the brand's signature dishes, including Mazemen, Shoyu, Tonkotsu and Lobster Ramen.
Vandelay Companies operates 26 locations nationwide across 10 different restaurant concepts.
