Tava Kitchen, a San Francisco Bay South Asian restaurant concept, formerly known as Tava Indian Kitchen, has unveiled a menu format, restaurant design and logo at its Palo Alto location.
The new, simpler logo with geometric tiles reflects the company's focus on providing a more welcoming environment that showcases the brand's unique South Asian cuisine in a contemporary format, according to a company press release. The newly redesigned Palo Alto restaurant features clean lines, modern finishes and lots of natural light for a warm and inviting culinary haven for guests of all ages.
"We are thrilled to introduce the new Tava Kitchen which we feel is a better expression of our brand as it highlights our key focus on fresh ingredients and incredible flavor," said Jeremy Morgan, CEO of Tava Kitchen.
The new menu provides a unique culinary twist on flavors from South Asia in every dish, made with only the highest quality ingredients, according to the release. Tava Kitchen offers signature entrees that can be served with rice or in a wrap with a choice of six proteins: Chicken tikka masala, slow roasted chicken, lamb meatballs, braised beef, pineapple glazed salmon and Asian tofu. Guests can choose from oven-roasted hot sides and cold sides, featuring an array of fresh vegetables with various South Asian dressings, Morgan said.
"The restaurant now features more culinary-forward menu items that offer our guests an approachable, modern take on South Asian cuisine that we feel will be beneficial as we execute on our plan to grow from our three current locations to a total of 12 restaurants by 2018," he said.
In addition to the new entrees and sides, Tava is introducing a line of kids meals served with rice, a choice of fresh fruit or vegetables and organic milk.
Lastly, Tava is adding a new line of house-made lemonades, fresh-squeezed and prepared daily. The three flavors include signature classic, ginger lemongrass and simply strawberry. It will continue to offer its signature mango lassi smoothie and cardamom iced chai.
"It's been incredibly rewarding to see what a passionate fan base we've built since we first opened our doors in 2012, said Co-founder Hasnain Zaidi. "I think our vision for a modern South Asian dining experience really resonated with people in the Bay area. This evolution of our brand and our menu allows us to build on the things that people love most about Tava and really showcase bold, brilliant, flavorful food."
The new restaurant is the first location to open with the new design, and all new locations moving forward will feature this menu and design, Zaidi said.
