Taco Cabana, with nearly 150 locations, has launched a franchising program and debuted its TC 3.0 restaurant prototype featuring a sleek design built for operational efficiency, adaptability and maximum profitability.
"2024 was a defining year for Taco Cabana, representing a pivotal period in our brand's evolution and setting the foundation for nationwide expansion of a beloved Mexican-inspired brand that has thrived in the state of Texas since the 1970s," Ulyses Camacho, president and COO of Taco Cabana, said in a company press release. "With the launch of our franchise program, innovative restaurant design, unique menu offerings and a proven track record of operational excellence, we're creating exciting opportunities for experienced entrepreneurs to invest in a brand with a legacy of success and a very bright future."
Designed by franchisees for franchisees, Taco Cabana's franchise program offers a scalable, efficient model that thrives in suburban markets and beyond, Camacho said. The remodeled 2,500-square-foot prototype reduces the brand's previous footprint by 1,000 square feet and features a single makeline, single or double drive-thru options and a walk-up window.
"The launch of Taco Cabana's franchise program presents an exciting opportunity for entrepreneurs seeking a successful business model backed by nearly 50 years of proven excellence," John Ramsay, director of Franchise Sales and Development at Taco Cabana, said in the release. "Our franchise model is supported by the expertise of a highly qualified franchise support team and a wealth of long-established resources that only a legacy chain could offer. During this early stage of our national growth journey, it's a unique time for franchise partners to capitalize on the strong development potential of a beloved, Mexican-inspired brand."
With deep market saturation in key Texas regions, Taco Cabana is well-positioned for expansion into new markets across the country including Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Missouri, Oklahoma and Tennessee, Ramsay said.
