sweetgreen adding 2 stores

Washington D.C.-based sweetgreen is opening two new locations in 2013 — one in D.C. and one in New York City — to its chain of nearly 15 restaurants known for their organically and locally sourced menus.

The D.C. unit will open in the first quarter of 2013, in the same building as a new YMCA at 14th St. N.W. and W. St., N.W. The 2,030-square-foot restaurant will also have a juice window selling Sweetpress.

The N.Y. store will open in the spring at 1164 Broadway.
