Sweet Paris Creperie & Cafe, based in Houston, is expanding to Florida with four locations. The state's first store will open in downtown Doral at 5335 NW 87th Ave., with a second coming to the Plaza at Coral Gables at 2901 Ponce de Leon.
With 10 stores in Texas and one in Mexico, Ivette Escobar, chief development officer, said she saw an opportunity for growth in Miami and decided to relocate to the area to become a Sweet Paris strategic partner with her own two stores.
"Miami is the perfect market with its wonderful people and vibrant restaurant scene," Escobar said in a company press release. "We look forward to opening many Sweet Paris stores and to revive the art of eating crêpes in Florida."
Founded in 2012 by Allison Chavez and her husband, Ivan Chavez, Sweet Paris features sweet and savory crepes as well as waffles, salads, paninis, soups, milkshakes, mimosas and hot espresso and Nutella drinks.
