Surveillance system leads to revenue boost at fro-yo chain

April 26, 2017

The frozen-yogurt chain, SweetFrog, saw a 15 percent bump in revenue in one location after rolling out a MultiSight cloud-based video surveillance. That ROI has inspired leadership to begin deploying the system throughout its 65 corporate locations and recommend it to franchisees, according to a company press release.

"Installing MultiSight cameras has been beneficial on multiple levels," sweetFrog CEO Patrick Galleher, said in a news release. "While our initial intent was to use them for security purposes, after putting them to use, we realized they were helping us run shops more efficiently."

A district manager for the company, Brandon Price, agreed.

"We started using MultiSight in a one-store test and were ecstatic when we saw a 15 percent increase in revenue shortly after the system was installed," Price said in a news release. "We've been able to better supervise employees and use the system to help in training. What's more, the cameras have given us confidence in eliminating employee theft."

The company is also using analytics from the provider to measure customer traffic in real time for better staffing management and conversion ratio monitoring.
