Starbucks is taking Teavana teas into select Starbucks stores in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to a press release.
"This is an exciting moment for Starbucks to delight our tea-loving customers," said the company's vice president of marketing and category for the three areas, Ian Cranna."Tea has always been a part of Starbucks heritage since 1971 when Starbucks opened its first location in the Pike Place Market, where there were 30 different kinds of loose-leaf tea on offer. Teavana showcases our continued commitment in delivering a unique and personalized customer experience."
Starbucks also introduced two new teas, peach green tea lemonade and blackberry mojito green tea lemonade. These new iced teas are available for a limited time, according to the release. They will be offered with the original selection of black, green and hibiscus iced teas throughout the season.
"Our mission is to create a modern day tea culture with tea products and experiences that we hope our customers will enjoy," said the company's tea category manager for the three regions of expansion, Charlotta Oldham.
