Spicy Pickle Franchising Inc., operator of the Spicy Pickle restaurant chain in the U.S. and BG Urban Cafe restaurant chain in Canada, has opened a third Spicy Pickle restaurant in Houston.
The location was opened by a Spicy Pickle franchisee near Rice University and features a beer and wine offering to cater to dinner guests. It is the third location to open with the franchisee group in 18 months, and a fourth is expected to open in 2011.
"Our Houston franchisee has proven to be an excellent operator with extraordinary customer service. This franchisee already has two restaurants in the city and is working on a lease for a fourth location," said Spicy Pickle CEO Mark Laramie. "This location is in the middle of our target demographic, serving residential, office and commercial complexes that are frequented by our typical customer. We firmly believe that this will be a very busy location.”
