Charleys, known for its Charley's Grilled Subs and Charleys Philly Steaks concepts, has recently rolled out its newest limited-time offer, the Spicy Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich, available now through July 14, is derived from the winning sandwich from the company's system-wide 2012 GrillMaster competition. The GrillMaster was open to anyone working at any Charleys location worldwide and offered employees the chance to have their creation featured on the menu as a special limited-time offer.
"The Spicy Hawaiian Chicken sandwich adds a different twist to the Charleys menu," said Dick Falcone, director of research and development. "The combination of sweet, spicy and savory flavors creates a mouthwatering, 'crave-able' sandwich that sets it apart from anything Charleys has done in the past. It's made with Charleys great all-white-meat chicken, savory ham, tangy Swiss cheese and our signature Roasted Pineapple and Habanero sauce."
The GrillMaster winner, Michael Woodburn of West Point, Utah, came up with his recipe by experimenting with different sauce combinations while at home cooking for his family. The new Spicy Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich is a variation of his design, which includes the sweet and spicy habanera sauce. His sandwich beat out hundreds of entries, including two other finalists in a live showdown at Charleys headquarters.
Charleys has locations in 47 states and U.S. territories and 20 countries.
