Southern Rock Restaurants promotes ops director to president

Southern Rock Restaurants, which operates 112 McAlister's Deli locations in Tennessee, Mississippi, Missouri, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Virginia and Illinois, has promoted AJ Baird to president and COO.

"AJ has been a part of the Southern Rock family for more than 10 years and it's been an honor to see his growth as a leader from director of operations to now president and COO," David Blackburn, CEO of Southern Rock Restaurants, said in a company press release. "His passion for the industry, our employees and our guests has made him the leader he is today."

Baird joined Southern Rock Restaurants in 2011 and most recently served as president of operations. He began his career as an assistant manager in 1998 at the McAlister's Deli in Grenada, Mississippi.
