Sloan's newest location will open in Horton Plaza Park near the Westfield Horton Plaza shopping center.

The Horton Plaza Park location will be a kiosk version of the larger store in Westfield UTC. In addition to ice cream, the kiosk will offer baked goods.

"It's about taking the next step in creating a successful brand," Sloan Kamenstein, CEO of Sloan's Ice Cream said. "We've been privileged to serve south Florida for a long time, the valley and San Diego more recently. Now, we are equally fortunate to be establishing more roots in San Diego with opening of our second location."

Sloan's Ice Cream has locations in south Florida, California and Kuwait. According to Kamenstein, Sloan's plans to continue growth throughout California and expand nationwide, adding 200 locations in the next five to seven years.
