Snappy Salads is continuing its expansion into the Houston market with a third location scheduled to open in mid-April at 1000 Main St., which is connected to the Downtown Tunnel System and located in front of the Main Street Square MetroRail Stop. This will be the 18th Snappy Salads location in Texas, according to a company press release.
"Houstonians have been so supportive of our growth in this market that we decided to continue our expansion here," Chris Dahlander, founder, said in the release. "We're looking forward to converting more Houstonians into 'Snapsters' with our satisfying and craveable salads."
The 2,133-square-foot downtown location continues the chain's mission to leave the world healthier than the way it found it. Long communal tables are made from reclaimed wood, lighting is energy-efficient, takeout containers and utensils are biodegradable, cups are made from corn, and straws are made from paper, according to the release. It serves food products that are aligned with its mission like non-GMO oil, ferrous gluconate-free black beans and olives, EDTA-free mayonnaise, sustainably raised tomatoes and organic fair trade iced tea.
