Smoothie King taps ChatGPT to write steamy summer novel

To celebrate the return of its X-Treme Watermelon smoothie, and the launch of its Watermelon Lemonade smoothie, Smoothie King commissioned ChatGPT to write a steamy 250-page romance novel, "A Summer Fling to the X-Treme" with elements of the brand and LTO woven into the narrative.

"These smoothies are fun, and bursting with extreme summer flavors, so it only made sense to pair them with an extremely playful campaign," CMO Marianne Radley said in a company press release. "X-Treme Watermelon and X-Treme Watermelon Lemonade smoothies are officially back, and we're excited to offer our guests a delicious way to treat themselves during the hot summer months."

Smoothie King is publishing a limited run of 300 paperback copies for free at www.asummerflingtothextreme.com.

The smoothies are available through Aug. 28 or while supplies last, at all locations nationwide for purchase in-store or on the Smoothie King app.
