Smoothie King launches discount for multi-unit franchisees

February 28, 2014

Smoothie King Franchises has announced an incentive program giving new franchisees the opportunity to save money when they sign a multi-unit agreement to open three Smoothie King locations. As part of the "3-Point Play" development deal, new franchisees will receive at least 40 percent off their franchise fees for each store, according to a company press release.

New franchisees will pay an initial franchise fee of $15,000 for their first store and $5,000 for each of the additional two locations.

"It's been an exciting year so far for Smoothie King with the announcement of the newly named Smoothie King Center and the unveiling of our new store design in South Florida. To celebrate, we want to offer franchisees an extremely attractive incentive to join the Smoothie King family," said Smoothie King Global CEO Wan Kim. "As a leader in the smoothie category, Smoothie King is committed to driving aggressive growth through multi-unit development across the country. We are already on track to open 160 new franchised locations this year in cities such as Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Tallahassee and Washington, D.C."

Smoothie King, which has experienced four consecutive years of positive same-store sales, plans to add more than 900 new franchised and corporate locations domestically over the next four years, Kim said.
