Smoothie King expanding Texas footprint

Smoothie King Franchises Inc. has opened its first corporate store in Addison, Texas, located in the Addison Walk Shopping Center at 5000 Beltline Road.

“We are excited to join the Addison community and provide a variety of healthy, quality products to our guests,” said Smoothie King Global CEO Wan Kim. “Whether in need of a mid-day snack or a post-workout smoothie to recharge, we are here to help local residents stay energized and maintain a nutritional diet.”

The new Addison location is the first of 15 corporate and 20 franchise stores scheduled to open over the next three years in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. Smoothie King opened its first store in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 1995, and currently has 27 stores in operation.

Smoothie King marked its 40^thanniversary this year with more than 500 locations in the U.S. and still plans to add 1,000 new franchised and corporate locations domestically over the next five years. New franchisees can still take advantage of Smoothie King’s incentive program and receive 40-percent off the franchise fee, a savings of $10,000, until the first 40 agreements of 2013 have been signed.
