Smokin' Oak Wood-Fired Pizza will hold a grand opening on Oct. 18 for its West Ridgeway Avenue store in Cedar Falls, Iowa, with free pizza all day, a news release said.
This second Iowa store for the brand is auto dealership owner, Marty Rouse's first. Rouse's Rouse Motor Company in Grundy Center has been the center of the franchisee's business life for the past 30 years, during which he has also served as a Grundy Center volunteer firefighter.
"Smokin' Oak Wood-Fired Pizza offers a product and experience unlike anything in the pizza space," said Matt Mongoven, the franchisor of Smokin' Oak Wood-Fired Pizza. "We use aged oak in our wood-fired ovens to cook our pizzas which creates a smoky flavor that can't be replicated with other cooking methods. Visiting our locations provides a unique experience as customers are able to watch their pizza creation being made right in front of them."
Smokin' Oak Wood-Fired Pizza plans to open locations in Nebraska and Colorado this year and expand into other states next year.
The brand currently has six locations, including a store each in Florida and Tennessee. It is based in St. Petersburg, Florida.
