One of the two ghost kitchen concepts that casual dining barbecue brand — Smokey Bones — first launched late last year — The Wing Experience — is soaring in the sales category, according to a news release. As a result, the company has boosted and investment in and promotion of the chicken wing-centered concept, which boasts 50 flavors of wings serving 61 locations in 16 states.
The Wing Experience has launched a new website and online-ordering platform at www.thewingx.com and is available for delivery from UberEats and DoorDash. The menu features jumbo smoked and traditional bone-in wings, crispy boneless wings and crinkle-cut fries. Wing flavors include Buffalo, barbecue, fruit, global, rich and creamy, adventurous, dry rub and Nashville-style. The latest offerings include strawberry chipotle, garlic parmesan, hot cinnamon candy apple and garam masala curry.
"The pandemic has changed the way customers interact with restaurants with guests now rely increasingly on curbside, carryout, delivery, and third-party delivery apps." Smokey Bones CEO James O'Reilly said in the release. "We believe many of these changes are going to be permanent and now is the time for us to innovate and invest. We have the operational and culinary capability to do just that, while focusing on one of American's most beloved menu items — wings."
Smokey Bones is based in Aventura, Florida, and has 61 stores from which its virtual brands operate.
