Smiling Moose ready to franchise across the globe

Smiling Moose Rocky Mountain Deli, which has grown to 15 locations in seven states since opening in 2003, is seeking experienced restaurateurs to help it expand to 100 locations over the next five years, according to a company press release.
 
The chain, which recently opened its 15th location in Grand Forks, North Dakota, will open another in Denver before the end of the year. The brand has also secured a seven-figure capital injection from parent company Rightway Brands Inc. and Smiling Moose CEO Rich Eisenberg.

"This is an extremely exciting time for Smiling Moose as we begin efforts to significantly expand both our corporate and franchise growth," Eisenberg said in the release. "We are actively looking for restaurant operators with multi-unit franchise experience who are looking for an up and coming, innovative concept to add to their brand portfolio."

Smiling Moose is looking to expand its footprint in the U.S. and in several international markets, including Latin America, the Caribbean, Middle East, Mexico, Canada and Australia. The brand is primed for an excellent ROI with an estimated initial investment range of $315,300 – $685,000 for the first location, including a franchise fee of $35,000 and an average sales range of $983,507, Eisenberg said.
