Smashburger to open in Sacramento, announces new hire

Smashburger has announced it will open five new locations in the Sacramento area over the next two years.

"We are thrilled to bring Smashburger to the Sacramento area," joint venture partner and senior vice president of franchising, Doug Branigan, said. "We believe in the quality of the Smashburger product, and we know burger lovers in the Capital City will quickly grow to love our burger magic."

Sacramento-Calif.-based Branigan was recently named as the company's new senior vice president of Franchise Operations.
