Smashburger opens fourth Chicago-area restaurant

Smashburger is bringing its “better burgers” to Darien, Ill., through the chain’s fourth Chicago-area restaurant. The Darien location will open May 25 and is the closest Smashburger to downtown Chicago to date.

The Darien location will feature the Windy City Smashburger, a 100-percent certified angus beef burger topped with layers of melted cheese, haystack onions, lettuce, tomato, and Gulden’s mustard on a pretzel bun. Chicagoans also can savor other menu items made especially for their taste buds including Johnsonville Polish Sausage topped with grilled onions, American cheese and Gulden’s mustard, and the Chicago Smashdog, which features yellow mustard, pickles, short peppers, tomatoes, sweet relish and onions.
