Smalls Sliders will make debut in Baton Rouge

March 15, 2019

A new restaurant concept, Smalls Sliders, is debuting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The fast casual brand is the dream child of Brandon Landry, Jacob Dugas, Scott Fargason and NFL star Drew Brees, according to a press release.

Smalls Sliders plans to open this summer on Nicholson Drive, across from Tigerland, and aims to grow into a nationwide concept.

"We couldn't be more excited to launch this unique concept in our hometown," Dugas said in the release. "Not only do we have an elite plan for Smalls, we also have a team of entrepreneurial powerhouses supporting the development of this small, yet mighty concept."

The release said the restaurant will be a place where guests can "celebrate the small things," with every meal cooked to order, focusing exclusively on slider burgers as the main dish.

Smalls will feature a drive-thru as its primary ordering option but will have a walk-up experience with outside seating only. The restaurant will feature an open kitchen.

"Smalls was created a lot like Walk-On's, 'Hey, I have an idea!'" Landry said. "I told Drew about the concept, and he was all in."

Brees has been Landry's partner at Walk-On's Bistreaux & Bar since 2015, a fast casual concept with locations across four states, including Louisiana.
