Slim Chickens opens 1st Ireland-based store

Arkansas-based Slim Chickens has opened its first location in Belfast, Northern Ireland, under the direction of multi-unit operating group, Boparan Restaurant group, and its partner, J.J.

"Boparan Restaurant Group and J.J.'s commitment to the Slim Chickens brand and their team's continuous effort to grow our global footprint across the U.K. is huge for us," Jackie Lobdell, Slim Chickens VP of franchise development, said in a company press release. "Chicken lovers can now further divulge in our warm, savory chicken paired with their choice of our house-made dipping sauces," she said. "Our partnership with Boparan Restaurant Group and J.J. has played a significant role in our expansion in the U.K. and we are so grateful to work with such a dedicated and ambitious group. They are a classic example of the type of operating groups we are seeking to connect with in our ongoing expansion efforts nationally and globally."

Slim Chickens has opened over 194 locations in the U.S. and the U.K. and has over 1,100 restaurants in development.
