Slim Chickens keeps hatching, opens 5th Tennessee location

Slim Chickens, a fast casual franchise in the "better chicken" segment, has opened its fifth Tennessee location, according to a press release.

The restaurant, in Barlett at 8477 U.S. Highway 64, is owned by DHR Chicken.

Slim Chickens has opened more than 130 locations across the U.S. and U.K., and has more than 600 in development.

"DHR Chicken is bringing Bartlett its new go-to stop for great food," Jackie Lobdell, VP of franchise development at Slim Chickens, said in the release. "Passion for the brand is exactly what we look for in franchise partners, and this group believes in what Slim Chickens is about. We are excited to continue to grow in Tennessee with them!"

Slim Chickens was founded in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 2003. The brand plans to open 600 units in the next 10 years.
