Slim Chickens franchisee opening 10th store

Dixie Chicken, a Slim Chickens franchisee, is opening its 10th unit May 15 at 2200 East Main St., in Russellville, Arkansas, and is slated to open 15-20 more over the next three-to-five years.

"We're looking forward to bringing the Slim Chickens southern hospitality and fresh, delicious chicken to Russellville," Dixie Chicken COO John Luckett, said in a company release. "We know that Slim Chickens will be the perfect option for residents in the area, and we plan to be a vital part of the community."

The location in Russellville will add 75 jobs to the community.

Since its founding in 2003 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Slim Chickens has opened more than 100 units in 15 states with an overall goal of having 600 by 2025.
