Slim Chickens franchisee opening 10th location

Arkansas-based Slim Chickens is continuing its Kentucky expansion with an opening next month in Owensboro at 3724 Frederica St., under the direction of the Houchens Food Group, which operates 10 Slim Chickens. The employee-owned company's portfolio spans 13 industries including grocery, convenience stores, construction and over 50 restaurants with seven brands.

"Our freshly made Southern dishes and homemade recipes create loyal guests who feel good about the food they're eating and we're proud to be able to grow our loyal fan base into the Owensboro market," Slim Chickens Chief Operating Officer Sam Rothschild said in a company press release.

Slim Chickens has over 250 locations.
