Slim Chickens continues Oklahoma expansion

Fayetteville, Arkansas-based Slim Chickens is continuing its Oklahoma expansion with its Tuesday opening at 11012 East 81st St., South in Tulsa. The location, which employs 75, is just part of the chain's growth story, however. Since its founding in 2003, the brand has opened 100 locations in 17 states, with an overall goal of opening 600 by 2025.

"Our freshly made Southern dishes and homemade recipes create loyal guests who feel good about the food they're eating, and we're proud to be able to grow our loyal fan base into the Tulsa market," Tom Gordon, Slim Chickens co-founder and CEO said in a company release.

Slim Chickens has seven units in Oklahoma.
