Slim Chickens adds to South Carolina, UK presence

Arkansas-basedSlim Chickens is growing its footprint simultaneously in the U.S. and the U.K. with stores opening in South Carolina, Virginia and in Redditch, a town in Worcestershire, England.

The multi-unit operating group, Bread Break Ventures, is at the forefront of the South Carolina/Virginia expansion, spearheading 30 Slim Chickens locations across the states.The first will reside at 7754 Garners Ferry Road in Columbia, South Carolina.

"The Columbia community will now be able to indulge in our crave-able chicken and plethora of unique house-made dipping sauces, both in-store and to-go," Jackie Lobdell, vice president of franchise development at Slim Chickens, said in a company press release "It's thanks to the dedication of ownership groups like Bread Break Ventures that we are able to bring our brand to countless new communities across the country. Teams like this one are what we continue to actively seek as we grow nationwide."

The Boparan Restaurant Group and Bourne Leisure are spearheading the U.K. opening in Redditch.

Slim Chickens has 190 locations and 1,100 restaurants in development.
