Slapfish has finalized a franchise agreement to build five locations in the San Diego area with the first slated to open later this year. Slapfish founder Andrew Gruel has grown the concept from a food truck to a restaurant chain that today includes seven units in California and over 60 additional units across the U.S., Europe and the Middle East, according to a company press release.
Franchisee Adam Shamel, a San Diego native, is exploring real estate throughout the San Diego County market and hopes to open his first location by summer 2017, according to the release.
