Fast casual seafood restaurant Slapfish is opening the first of many planned Florida locations, beginning with a multi-unit deal in Orlando, a news release said.
The franchisees, father and son, Brandon and Charles Bengel, and Les Hatter, will operate the first projected wave of restaurants, according to a press release. The initial location will be a 2,500-square-foot restaurant at 783 N. Alafaya Trail.
"Operating in the fast-casual burger segment for many years, we know that with an oversaturation of brands offering sandwiches and burgers, it can be difficult to expand and find prime real estate within that segment," said Hatter in the release. "In addition to offering high-quality, sustainable seafood, Slapfish has little competition in the fast-casual seafood segment, creating incredible opportunities for franchisees looking to expand their portfolio. We are so confident in the success of the brand we have invested in franchising rights across the state."
Slapfish has more than 150 locations in development nationwide.
