Sky's named to 'Top Food Truck" list

TheDailyMeal.com canvassed more than 300 food trucks throughout 30 cities to rank this year's 101 Best Food Trucks in America. A fast casual concept, Sky's Gourmet Tacos, took the 49th spot. Former corporate executive Barbara Burrell opened the brick-and-mortar location in 1992, on West Pico Boulevard near Hauser in L.A. The hot pink truck took off in 2010.

"Our food truck operation is working out quite well, and with an outstanding outlook for the future," said kevin minor, principal at Sky's. "What's interesting is that while food truck catering extends the FC brand presence to the streets, at the same time, it provides solid advertising and marketing right back to brick-and-mortar and into brand cyberspace — to the social media outlets."
