Five-year-old California-based pizza chain Pieology has opened its third location in Missouri after better-than-expected sales in two other locations in the state, according to a news release. The newest location, on South Center Way in St. Louis, is decked out in an industrial-chic look, augmented by inspirational quotes on walls, menus and employee uniforms.
"We're thrilled to continue our expansion throughout Missouri with our new St. Louis location," said Jeremy Bonk, director of operations for Midwest Pie, LLC. "Our other Missouri locations have exceeded our growth expectations, and we're confident guests in this new area will love the Pieology experience, too."
Bonk said a new custom salad program at select locations is proving so successful that the chain will take it systemwide by the end of the year.
Restaurateur Carl Chang started Pieology in 2011. Earlier this year, one of the country's largest family-owned restaurant companies, Panda Restaurant Group, announced it would invest in the Pieology chain.
