Shane's Rib Shack to provide ownership opportunities

July 26, 2009

Shane's Rib Shack is extending beyond the traditional franchise model to help those looking to become a Shane's owner/operator.

Shane's is offering to qualified candidates anOwner/Operator Model designed to eliminate the financial barriers of established net worth, liquidity and the ability to secure financing to cover store development costs that typically run from $403,100 to $690,500.

All owner/operators will receive a competitive base salary and benefits, plus a share of the profits.

"I will be the first to tell you franchising is not for everyone, particularly in a tight economic market; however there are a great many qualified candidates in the market today who, with no financial barriers, could make great restaurant owners," said Shane Thompson, founder and president of Shane's Rib Shack. "This new model makes it possible for them to own and operate their own business with only a $10,000 investment. This may be the best opportunity in the fast casual market today."

Initially open to potential owner/operators in the Washington D.C., and Northern Virginia area, interested candidates can register onwww.own-a-shanesribshack.comto review more details, answer a few key questions and provide their resumes for consideration. Each candidate should have at least two years of restaurant experience in a managerial role and be capable of contributing an investment of up to $10,000 to start their own Shane's Rib Shack.
