Shake Shack names board member, creates leadership roles

Shake Shack has filled several executive roles and has tapped a ninth board member.

Andrew McCaughan, formerly vice president of development, has been promoted to chief development officer; Andrew McCaughan, formerly vice president of development, has been promoted to chief development officer; Dave Harris has been named CIO and Jay Livingston has been named chief marketing officer. Michael Kark has been named chief global licensing officer.

"Investment in our teams and developing future leaders from within has always been incredibly important at Shake Shack. We believe the unity that we have built amongst our teams and across the company is a key driver of our ability to deliver a great guest experience and successfully grow our footprint," said Randy Garutti, Shake Shack CEO, in a press release.

Sumaiya Balbale becomes the ninth member of the company's board of directors on March 19, 2019. She served as vice president of marketing at Jet from September 2014 through October 2017.
