December 20, 2021

To provide a little stress relief to weary holiday travelers, Shake Shack is giving away free fries Wednesday-Friday to those who encounter delayed or canceled flights from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.

"At Shake Shack we have always been focused on creating uplifting experiences for our guests," Jay Livingston, CMO of Shake Shack, said in a company press release. "We know the holidays can be stressful, so we created this campaign to bring some fan excitement, especially in some of the busiest and crowded places around the holiday — the airport. From real life surprise and delight moments to capturing and sharing content across our owned channels, our goal is to spread and share joy."

To get their free fries, travelers may visit a Shake Shack location at the airport in Terminal 4, near gates B23 and B37, and show proof of delayed or canceled flights, according to the release.

Other customers, who tag Shake Shack on Instagram on posts stating that their flights have been canceled or delayed, may also earn fries by taking a selfie in front of their departure gates.

Shake Shack has 21 airport locations around the world.
