Several fast casual brands recognized for healthy meal options

Gold's Gym recently announced the winners of its first-ever "Golden Plate Awards." Winners included Chipotle Mexican Grill, Corner Bakery Cafe and Zoes Kitchen.

Gold's Gym recently announced the winners of its first-ever "Golden Plate Awards."  Partnering with Celebrity Chef Robert Irvine, the Golden Plate Awards recognizes ten of the healthiest dishes on menus from restaurant chains throughout the nation.

Gold's Gym nutrition experts and Irvine choose the winners from hundreds of submissions by Gold's Gym members and the general public.

Winners included offerings from several fast casual restaurants, including:

• Chipotle Mexican Grill – Chicken Burrito Bowl with Brown Rice, Black Beans, Mild Salsa and Guacamole
• Corner Bakery Cafe – Harvest Salad with Chicken
• Zoes Kitchen – Salmon Kabobs

"We know how difficult it can be to eat 'clean' when dining out and wanted to provide our members the tools to make smart choices without having to overthink it. The Golden Plate Awards does just that," said Dave Reiseman, vice president of Communications for Gold's Gym, in a company press release. "Having worked with Chef Robert Irvine before, we knew he'd be the perfect partner for this initiative. After all, there is no one that fuses fitness and healthy, delicious cooking better than Chef Irvine."
