Second franchised Einstein Bros. Bagels opens in Texas
September 7, 2009
Husband and wife team Matt and Allison McKinney have opened their Einstein Bros. Bagels franchise in Tyler, Texas. The location marks the first of three the couple plan to open in the Tyler market and the second franchised store in the state.
In celebration of the grand opening, Einstein Bros. is sending coupons to 20,000 local residents, making available to them offers such as a free bagel shmear & coffee, free lunch sandwich and a buy-one-get-one lunch sandwich, among other offers.
The new restaurant is the fifth Einstein Bros. franchise location for the brand's parent company, Einstein Noah Restaurant Group Inc. In addition to the McKinneys three-unit deal, Einstein Noah Restaurant Group has inked 10 other multiunit franchise agreements to open locations in Jacksonville, Fla., Orange County, Calif., Northwest Arkansas, Augusta, Ga., Colorado, Utah and other multiple markets throughout Texas. The first franchised location opened in Jacksonville in mid-April 2008. Additional openings are slated for late 2009 and beyond.
