Schlotzsky's takes the bite out of Tax Day with freebies

April 5, 2013

Schlotzsky's is celebrating the end of tax season on April 15 by giving customers a free small "The Original" sandwich with the purchase of a 32-ounce drink and chips. This one-day-only deal is valid at all participating locations with no coupon necessary, according to a company press release.

"As tax season comes to a close, we couldn't think of a better time to reward our loyal customers for all their hard work," said Kelly Roddy, president of Schlotzsky's. "The Schlotzsky's menu has evolved over the years, but The Original has been a fan favorite since our inception. We hope everyone enjoys this special giveaway."

The Original Sandwich has lean smoked ham, Genoa and Cotto salamis, melted cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses layered with black olives, red onion, lettuce, tomato, mustard and the chain’s signature dressing on toasted Sourdough bread.
