By the end of the summer, all 370 Schlotzsky's locations will have the chain's new branding. Known now as Schlotzsky's Austin Eatery, the company is bringing the city's tagline, "Keep Austin Weird," to life in markets across the country with its own slogan of "wonderfully weird," according to a company press release.
The transition began earlier this month in Dallas and features handcrafted food and beverage offerings, an eclectic, purposeful design and a unique dining experience, said Schlotzsky's CMO Robyn Seward. The chain, which first opened in 1971, in Austin, is also placing an emphasis on increasing accessibility through third-party delivery, catering, take-out and drive-thru efficiencies.
"The concept is a natural evolution of the brand, tapping into our 47-year heritage while accommodating the ever-changing consumer," Seward said in the release. "With the new Schlotzsky's Austin Eatery concept, we've combined elements from QSR, fast casual and casual to create a level of quality and guest experience that says, 'Were glad you're here.'"
