Schlotzsky's celebrates a new season with holiday sandwiches

November 30, 2009

Now through February 28th, Schlotzsky's restaurant is offering guests three new seasonal sandwiches.

The first seasonal specialty is the Hickory Ham & Gouda sandwich, featuring layers of shaved ham, Gouda cheese, lettuce, tomato and red onion, topped off with a tangy barbecue sauce and served on Schlotzsky's freshly made toasted sourdough bun.

Next up is the Turkey & Cranberry sandwich made with smoked turkey, lettuce, tomato, light mayonnaise and for the perfect finish, cranberry sauce, all served on a sourdough bun.

Last but not least is the Turkey, Bacon & Swiss, piled with smoked turkey, crispy bacon strips, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion and light mayonnaise, served on a sourdough bun.

"We might have a funny name, but Schlotzsky's is serious about giving the gift of delicious, new sandwiches this winter," said president Kelly Roddy. "The all 'round 'lotz better' flavor combinations we're featuring really capture the essence of cold weather comfort foods and are sure to keep guests coming back for more during the holidays and into next year."
