NEENAH, Wis. — SCA Tissue's environmentally-friendly foodservice napkin system, the Xpressnap dispenser and Xpressnap natural napkin, has been selected by the Phoenix Zoo for use at its facility.
"Part of the message that zoos need to emphasize is that we must care for the environment, and zoos need to set a good example — especially for the children," said Dick Heudorf, foodservice general manager at The Phoenix Zoo.
The Xpressnap system dispenses only one napkin at a time, reducing the number of napkins taken by consumers. According to a news release, SCA Tissue guarantees that Xpressnap will deliver a 25 percent reduction in usage compared to spring-loaded dispensers.
In addition, the Xpressnap Natural napkins are manufactured with a chlorine-free process and contain 100-percent recycled content with a minimum 90 percent post-consumer content. As a result, the napkins are EcoLogo certified by the Environmental Choice Program and surpass the EPA's certification requirement of 30 percent post-consumer content.
