The SCM Executive Study Group intends to provide a forum for mutual exchange of information relative to supply chain management best practices and applications for the restaurant, foodservice and hospitality industries. The Supply Chain group was designed to promote dialogue and provide knowledge on the increasing cost of commodity and wholesale food prices, sourcing of ingredients and traceability of products for its members. The Study Group agenda includes a focus on commodity risk management, planning and budgeting, LTO strategy, supply chain visibility and a CFO panel, the company said.

SCA Planner helps chains analyze more dynamic scenarios, with more accurate commodity and inventory data, and immediately see the impact on cost of goods and margins," said Samarth Sarthi, CEO of SCA Technologies, in a statement. "Leading restaurant chains use SCA's solutions to overcome industry challenges and attain growth by more accurately projecting food and paper costs, optimizing sourcing and supply planning, and better managing margins."
