Saxton Group acquires McAlister's restaurant, area development rights for Austin, Texas

The acquisition makes for a total of 58 McAlister’s Deli locations that are owned and operated by The Saxton Group, which plans to add five more units in the Austin area over the next several years.

The Saxton Group, the largest McAlister’s Deli franchisee, announced the acquisition of the company-owned Georgetown, Texas, location. The group has also secured an Area Development Agreement for the Austin, Texas, area.

The acquisition makes for a total of 58 McAlister’s Deli locations that are owned and operated by The Saxton Group, which plans to add five more units in the Austin area over the next several years.

“We are excited to own and operate McAlister’s Deli of Georgetown. It’s our first McAlister’s in the Austin area. Even more exciting is the potential to grow the brand in the greater Austin area. We see immediate opportunity to bring our Famous Sweet Tea to more customers in the region and have already started searching potential new locations," Saxton Group VP Adam Saxton said in a press release.
