Savvy Sliders becomes sponsor of Detroit Lions

Michigan-based Savvy Sliders has inked a deal with The Detroit Lions to become an official sponsor of the football team. The day following each Lions win, Savvy Sliders will give fans a BOGO deal on all combo meals, according to a press release.

The Savvy Sliders food truck will also be at the stadium during the opening game on Sept. 8.

Throughout the NFL season, Michigan locations will feature a blue cotton candy flavored hand-spun custard shake called Honolulu Blue and will offer a Lions branded tailgate pack that includes 10 sliders for only $20.

"We are thrilled to partner with the Lions and allow fans across Michigan to win along with their favorite team," Mark Wolok, vice president of business development of Savvy Sliders, said in the press release. "As life-long Lions fans, we look forward to being part of the game-day experience!"

Savvy Sliders has 39 locations across Michigan, with a location scheduled to open Sept. 10 in St. Clair Shores.
