DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. — Sara Lee Foodservice introduced three new cheesecakes, including Swiss Double Chocolate, California and an Extra Tall plain New York style cheesecake.
"These new products represent the latest evolution in Sara Lee's strong cheesecake heritage," said Jason Katzman, director of marketing, bakery, Sara Lee Foodservice. "Our new cheesecakes are innovative, on-trend products that will give our customers an exciting new dessert option to delight their customers and drive dessert sales."
According to a news release, when consumers were asked which dessert they were most likely to purchase, 29 percent surveyed said cheesecake, which was the most popular dessert out of eight dessert categories.
The three new products, available to ship next February are:
Sara Lee Extra Tall New York Style Cheesecake is 3 ½ inches tall – a full inch taller than the current Sara Lee cheesecake.
Sara Lee California Style Cheesecake, a lemony New York-style cheesecake with a real sour cream topping. This cheesecake is 2 ½ inches of 100 percent cream cheese, natural bourbon vanilla extract and natural lemon in the batter.
Sara Lee's Bistro Collection Swiss Double Chocolate Cheesecake is a New York-style cheesecake made with real Swiss Chocolate atop a decadent chocolate crumb crust.
